Rules & Format

The Grand Legacy Esports Championship adheres to the official Valorant Competitive Ruleset, with specific tournament modifications to ensure fair play and exciting competition. All participants are expected to review and understand these rules thoroughly before the tournament begins. Violations may result in penalties, including disqualification.

Tournament Structure

  • Phase 1: Group Stage (October 15-20)
    • 16 teams divided into 4 groups (A, B, C, D).
    • Round-robin format within each group.
    • All matches are Best-of-One (Bo1).
    • Top 2 teams from each group advance to the Playoffs.
  • Phase 2: Playoffs (October 22-27)
    • Single-elimination bracket for the top 8 teams.
    • Quarter-finals and Semi-finals are Best-of-Three (Bo3).
    • Grand Finals are Best-of-Five (Bo5).
  • Grand Finals: Live Event (October 29)
    • The final two teams will compete live in San Francisco.

General Rules and Regulations

  • Eligibility: All players must be 16 years or older and reside in an eligible region.
  • Team Size: Teams must consist of 5 main players and 1 optional substitute.
  • Agent Selection: All currently available agents in Valorant are eligible for selection, unless otherwise specified by a competitive patch.
  • Map Pool: The current competitive map pool will be used. Map vetoes will be conducted before each match.
  • Technical Issues: Teams are responsible for their own internet connection and hardware. In case of server issues, matches may be replayed or rescheduled.
  • Fair Play: Any form of cheating, scripting, or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disqualification and potential bans from future events.
  • Communication: All team communication must adhere to a respectful and professional standard.
